Normal cells are cells obtained directly from normal (non-pathological) tissues. Normal cell lines represent the best experimental models for in vivo situations. Normal cells have the closest karyotype as the parental (non-abnormal) tissues. And normal cells express characteristics which are not seen in cancer cells.
