Disease:
Endometriosis (Immortalized cells)
Origin:
The VK2/E6E7 cell line was established from the normal vaginal mucosal tissue taken from a premenopausal woman undergoing anterior-posterior vaginal repair surgery. Cells at passage 3 were immortalized by transduction with the retroviral vector LXSN-16E6E7 in the presence of polybrene. Clones were selected in medium containing G418.

AddexBio-Formulated Keratinocyte Growth Medium (C0013-34)) + calcium chloride (final conc. 0.4 mM)
Subcultivation ratio of 1:3 to 1:5 is recommended. Trypsinize cells using 0.25% (w/v) Trypsin-0.53 mM EDTA. Culture at 5% CO2, 37°C. Renew medium once every 2 to 3 days. Reagents for cryopreservation is DMEM (C0003-01) supplemented with 10% (v/v) FBS and 5% (v/v) DMSO.
