Functional Activity:

The native peptide, PLSRTLSVSS-NH2 , is a synthetic substrate for Ca²⁺-calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (Km = 7.5 μM). Maximal activation of the decapeptide substrate phosphorylation requires the presence of Ca²⁺ and calmodulin and is dependent on Ca²⁺ concentration.
