Functional Activity:
Potent and selective choline uptake inhibitor by blocking transporter ChT at the presynapse. It decreases the synthesis of acetylcholine since the reuptake of choline is the rate limiting step in the synthesis of acetylcholine. Therefore, it is classified as an indirect acetylcholine antagonist.
